The White Horse Project

The White Horse Project identifies the equestrian portion of the ministry, and consists of one-third of our services. It differs from other equine programs as it is not therapeutic riding, but rather incorporates interaction between horse and person from the ground, under the guidance of a Coach.

Non-riding equine assisted coaching and therapy programs have a proven track record of improving lives of participants facing a variety of challenges such as addictions, PTSD, depression, trauma, relationship, communication and trust issues. Equine programs assist individuals providing tools needed to help overcome obstacles, hindrances, and life events assisting them on their journey of growth and recovery. This is accomplished in part due to the nature of the horse.

Horses are highly intuitive animals, reflecting the emotional temperament and non-verbal cues of a person. Under the guidance of the Coach, a collaboration occurs between horse and person in each session. Feedback received from the horse is instantaneous, providing insight and revelation of self. The horse itself is a fellow coach.

The program not only addresses assistance in life challenge recovery, but also offers a First Responder program providing a serene debriefing area, individual assistance and team building exercises.

The White Horse Project program is in full swing with four horses actively working in their therapy horse career as of spring, 2025. The program building was made possible by an anonymous grant and then constructed by incredible volunteers in November 2024. Electricity was extended to the building and the interior completed in early summer 2025, all fully funded by generous donors. Thank you beyond measure, we are deeply grateful!!

As always, there is no charge for ministry services, including The White Horse Project program. Ministry work is made possible by the grace of God through donations and financial support of individuals, businesses, and granting opportunities. Please consider us with your support.
