The White Horse Project

The White Horse Project identifies the equestrian portion of OutlawRidge Ministries, partnering with
horses in helping people recover from addiction, PTSD, depression, trauma and other life events.

This program makes up about one-third of ministry services and will be fully operational in Spring of 2025.

It differs from other equine programs as it is not therapeutic riding, but rather incorporates interaction between horse and person from the ground, under the guidance of a Coach. Ministry co-founder, Debi Plekan, has recently completed her training as an Equine Assisted Coach.

Non-riding equine programs have a proven track record of improving lives, assisting individuals by
providing the tools needed to help them overcome obstacles, difficulties and hindrances. This is
accomplished in part due to the very nature of the horse.

Horses are highly intuitive animals, reflecting
the emotional temperament and non-verbal cues of a person. Under the guidance of the Coach, a
collaboration occurs between horse and person in each session. Feedback from the horse is
instantaneous, providing insight and revelation of self. The horse itself is a fellow coach.

Annie EyeThe White Horse Project program building’s construction had been funded by a generous, anonymousBuilding Work
donor and incredible volunteers constructed the building within ten days this past November. Three program horses are ready to begin, and two others are perfecting their skills under the horsemanship
and round pen training of co-founder David Plekan.

We are actively fundraising for the completion of the interior of the building and extend electricity, a portable restroom, additional needed fencing, and ongoing program expenses. Please consider a
donation towards The White Horse Project and partnering with us in serving those who need this
program.

OutlawRidge Ministries is made possible by the grace of our Lord God through donations and
financial support from individuals, businesses, and granting opportunities. We look forward to hearing
from you! Thank you and God bless you.
