Meet The Horses
Meet Annie!
Annie is a 20 year old Norwegian Fjord Horse that had been rescued from a kill pen in Arkansas by the
Norwegian Fjord Horse Rescue Network in May of 2024. She was obviously neglected for some time.
Arriving at her foster home in Missouri, she began her recovery where she soon thrived and bloomed under their diligent tending.
Annie was adopted by the ministry co-founders as a White Horse Project program horse in October 2024 and journeyed to Wyoming to live at OutlawRidge Ministries. Annie is a very sweet and obliging horse, a bit smaller than her gelding friends, Finn and Rye. She is the perfect temperament to patiently and confidently help those who need her assistance.
Meet Dannie!
Dannie is an 8 or 9 year old Quarter Horse type gelding with a heart of gold in a stunning red coat.
He has an old injury to a front hoof with a long crack that is helped by wearing shoes, therefore he cannot work on a ranch or do long trail rides. He is the newest resident of OutlawRidge Ministries, arriving just before Christmas 2024.
He was well cared for and trained by a young Amish gentleman whose father thought instead of selling him as a loose horse at auction, Dannie’s personality might be perfect for The White Horse Project.
We agree, and so did a generous sponsor! Dannie is full of life yet kind and agreeable. He is a wonderful and careful babysitter for the wee miniature horses.
Meet Dreama!
Dreama is a 22 year-old, 29 inch tall American Miniature Horse all wrapped up in a pretty pinto package with blue eyes. She is incredibly sweet-natured.
Dreama is on medication for periodic lameness in her front legs and has one oddly turned hind hoof. Her kind and affable character makes her the perfect little horse to help those less comfortable with bigger horses.
Originally hailing from Washington state, Dreama has lived with David and Debi for 20 years.
Meet the Big Boys, Finn & Rye!
Finn and Rye are 16 year old, good sized Norwegian Fjord Horse geldings adopted through the Norwegian Fjord Horse Rescue Network.
Finn had a very sad event in his life, being separated from his life-long carriage driving partner. The rescue intercepted before he entered the auction pipeline and placed him in foster care. However, Finn went through deep depression. He was very well cared for, but emotionally empty. Co-Founder, Debi, adopted Finn in February 2022. The two clicked and have a very special relationship where Finn has found joy again. He also has found his niche in life being a rock-solid therapy horse helping those who need his stoic and kind presence during coaching sessions for The White Horse Project.
Rye was also intercepted before auction, but his story was much happier, living very comfortably at his home. Co-Founder David, originally Rye’s foster, decided to adopt Rye in November of 2022. He is currently in training to become a part of The White Horse Project team. Rye and Finn instantly bonded and are near inseparable!
For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.] Romans 11:29 (AMPC)
